Tarun Cherukuri is the Co-Founder & CEO at Indus Action, a New Delhi-based nonprofit that builds civic-tech solutions and mobilizes communities to enable policy implementation. It also helps vulnerable families in India access legislated rights, including education, healthcare, and social security. Indus Action has several accreditations and awards under its name, be it the Emerging Global Award by the Harvard Kennedy School, or the Gratitude Awards by the Gratitude Network, among a few others. Tarun is passionate about advancing social justice in India through community organizing, active citizenship, and systems leadership. He is a 2019 Obama Foundation Fellow and a 2021-22 GLG Social Impact Fellow. He has also received recognition as a Draper Richards Kaplan (DRK) Foundation Entrepreneur and a Fulbright and Joint Japan World Bank Scholar. Tarun holds degrees from the Harvard Kennedy School and the Birla Institute of Technology and Science.
